Can the 37th burn fuel an October rally?

0

BNB price has entered October near $788 after gaining roughly 11% in September, with the 37th quarterly token burn and an 800–807 breakout now shaping the month’s price setup.

Summary

  • BNB price trades near $788, leaving $800 as October’s immediate resistance before higher targets become realistic.
  • The 37th quarterly BNB burn is expected in October, though no official date is confirmed.
  • BNB Chain’s July burn removed 1.616 million BNB, leaving total supply near 133.17 million tokens.
  • Tokenized stocks and ETFs on BNB Chain have surpassed $1 billion in combined market value.
  • Monthly RSI has recovered above 50, while MACD remains bearish but shows weakening downside momentum.

CoinGecko data show BNB price trading around $788 on Oct. 4, up roughly 2.5% over 24 hours and 1.2% during the past seven days. Its market capitalization stands close to $105 billion, supported by a circulating supply of roughly 130 million BNB.

September extended a recovery that had already gathered strength during August. Historical price data put BNB’s September opening near $691 and its month-end price around $768, an increase of roughly 11%. August had produced another advance of close to 18%.

BNB briefly reached roughly $806.68 during September before pulling back, leaving the $800 area as the clearest nearby ceiling entering October.

BNB price prediction depends on breaking $800-$807

The first test for BNB price in October sits around $800. Price has already traded through the level briefly, but buyers have not established sustained daily support above it.

A clean close above $800 followed by continued trading beyond the September high near $807 would strengthen the current recovery. Under that setup, the next price areas to watch sit near $820 and $850.

Crypto.news previously identified the 800–820 region as a technical target after BNB price broke above an earlier $700 neckline in May. At the time, the setup was supported by improving momentum and a bullish MACD structure. BNB price targets $820 after cup-and-handle breakout

The market has since moved through several different technical phases. By Sept. 17, BNB was trading near $721, with support clustered around 709–710 and resistance near 729–740. Price subsequently pushed toward $800 before retreating again. BNB price holds $710 support as momentum weakens

Current monthly indicators remain mixed. RSI sits around 56.66, almost level with its moving average of 56.69. A reading above 50 points to moderately positive momentum, though the indicator remains well below the 70 overbought threshold.

MACD has not confirmed the same strength. The MACD line is near 36.50, below the signal line around 51.29, while the histogram remains negative at approximately -14.80. Shrinking negative histogram bars suggest bearish momentum is easing, but the monthly chart has not yet produced a confirmed bullish crossover.

For October, the technical picture becomes stronger if BNB price can convert 800–807 from resistance into support.

The 37th BNB burn puts supply back in focus

BNB’s next quarterly token burn provides October with a separate catalyst.

BNB Chain has not announced an exact date for the 37th burn as of Oct. 4. The previous three burns occurred around the middle of January, April and July, making another mid-October event consistent with the quarterly schedule.

The most recent event took place on July 15. The BNB Foundation permanently removed 1,615,827.795 BNB, valued at approximately $931.7 million at the time. Total supply stood at 133,166,127.91 BNB after the transaction.

As crypto.news reported following the event, the burn reduced the available BNB supply by more than 1.6 million tokens and moved the network another step toward its long-term supply target. BNB Chain burns $932M in 36th quarterly burn

The Auto-Burn system ultimately targets a total BNB supply of 100 million tokens. Its formula uses BNB’s market price and the number of blocks generated on BNB Smart Chain during the quarter to determine the amount removed.

Since the formula depends partly on price and block production, the precise quantity for the 37th burn cannot be confirmed before BNB Foundation publishes the completed transaction.

BNB Chain runs another burn mechanism through BEP-95. A fixed portion of gas fees collected in each block is permanently destroyed, with validators controlling the burn ratio through governance. The Foundation said roughly 291,000 BNB had been removed through this mechanism by July.

The quarterly burn mechanically reduces token supply. It does not guarantee an immediate BNB price increase because market demand, liquidity and conditions across the crypto market still determine how price reacts.

Tokenized stocks give BNB Chain another October catalyst

Network activity provides another part of BNB’s October setup.

BNB Chain reported in June that the market capitalization of tokenized stocks and ETFs on its network had exceeded $1 billion, supported by more than 709 tokenized equity products. Cumulative tokenized-stock trading volume had passed $5 billion at the time.

More recent market data cited by crypto.news in September still placed BNB Chain at approximately $1 billion in tokenized stocks, while the total tokenized-stock market stood near $3.5 billion. RWA perp DEXs reach $365B as stocks lead trading

BNB Chain’s tokenization ecosystem includes bStocks, which represent U.S. securities as BEP-20 tokens backed 1:1 by underlying shares. BNB Chain said in June that supported assets could move into self-custody and selected DeFi applications.

In related coverage, crypto.news reported that Binance launched tokenized versions of companies including Nvidia, Tesla and Circle, with the assets supported for around-the-clock trading by eligible users.

BNB Chain has another tokenized-stock event running during October. Its Tokenized Stocks Edition hackathon closes submissions on Oct. 11, followed by screening from Oct. 12–14 and judging through Oct. 23. Winners are scheduled to be announced during the week of Oct. 26.

The program carries a $20,000 prize pool and focuses on tools for tokenized equities, including trading agents, portfolios and other applications built on BNB Smart Chain.

Network capacity has increased in parallel. BNB Chain said its August Pasteur hard fork introduced a block-building system that was processing around 98% of blocks by mid-September and carrying approximately 28% more gas per block than the previous Bid V1 route.

Crypto.news reported after the August activation that Pasteur strengthened bridge verification and validator controls while increasing block-processing capacity.

BNB price prediction for October has three paths

The main October scenarios center on resistance around $800–$807 and support below the current market.

October setup Price area What would need to happen
Bullish breakout 800–850 BNB closes above 800–807 and establishes support above the September high
Sideways trading 740–800 Buyers defend recent support but repeated attempts above $800 fail
Bearish pullback 700–740 BNB loses the mid-$700 region and selling extends toward earlier September support

The bullish scenario starts with $800. Clearing the September high around $806.68 would remove the closest visible resistance from the current chart and put $820 back into focus.

A stronger move could then test $850. Reaching that level from approximately $788 would require a gain of roughly 8%, meaning BNB price would not need to approach its old record for the target to become possible.

Sideways trading remains possible if the quarterly burn arrives without enough demand to move BNB through resistance. Price could continue rotating between the mid-$700 region and $800 while momentum develops.

On the downside, losing $740 would reopen levels near $720 and $700. BNB spent part of September around 710–725 before accelerating higher, making that region an important former consolidation area.

The monthly chart places larger support around $700, followed by the $600 region if the recovery fails more sharply. A fall toward $600 would require a deeper reversal than the current October setup indicates.

BNB price remains well below its record high. CoinGecko lists the token’s all-time high at $1,369.99, leaving the current price roughly 42% below that level.

The gap means an October breakout above $800 would represent a continuation of the recent recovery, not a return to record territory.

BNB price prediction FAQs

Can BNB price break $800 in October?

BNB price could break $800 if buyers push through the September high around $806.68 and maintain daily closes above that range. A brief move above $800 without support holding would not confirm a breakout.

When is the 37th BNB burn?

BNB Chain has not confirmed an exact date as of Oct. 4. The last quarterly burn occurred July 15, after previous 2026 burns in January and April, making mid-October consistent with the existing schedule.

Can the BNB burn push price higher?

The burn permanently reduces BNB supply, but it does not guarantee a price increase. BNB’s price will still depend on demand, market liquidity, trading conditions and the performance of the crypto market.

What is the main BNB resistance in October?

The immediate resistance area sits between $800 and $807. BNB reached approximately $806.68 during September before retreating.

What happens if BNB loses support?

A loss of the mid-$700 region could expose 720–700. The September chart previously showed buyers defending the 709–710 area before BNB resumed its recovery.
